How much sleep does your Preschooler need?
Kids are so peaceful….when they are sleeping! But how much sleep does your child really need?
According to pediatricians, children between the ages of 3-5 need 10-13 hours of sleep per day. This sleep does not necessarily need to be continuous however. Children at this age usually still nap.
So what’s a good bed time for your preschooler? Well that depends on naps, and what time they get up.
Example: Your child gets up at 7 am. They nap for 2 hours. According to pediatricians, your child should be in bed between 8 and 9 pm.
So how can you help make sure your child is getting enough sleep? Consistent bed times, nap time schedule, and limiting screen time before bed is a great place to start!
